Fynn is now 1 week old and he is doing great. It is taking some adjusting around here. Lots of dirty diapers and sleepless nights. But he is so worth it!

I did happen to get some pictures of my 3 all together. I only had to promise Drew chocolate cake and chocolate milk. I was desperate LOL.

Think outside the box...

As a photographer and an artist, I always come to certain points where I evaluate why I do, what I do. I know that it is because I love being a part of such special moments in people's lives, but it is so much more than that.

I was reading to my daughter out of her baby book last night. We have been getting ready for this little man to come any time now and she wanted me to read to her and tell her about how she was when she was little.

I found myself getting teary eyed as I thumbed through the pages of little "Bella stories" I had written about her and the photographs I had taken of her from the time she was born and them memories came flooding back. In this moment I came to the realization that for me, photography is really not about that perfect pose, smile, or eye contact...it is about that moment that is captured in between. The one that will truly remind you what your child was like when they have grown.

So when you book your session, take a moment to think outside the box. What is it about your child or children that you want to capture and remember. An 8x10 portrait can stay on your wall as a reminder of what they looked like at a certain age, but a photo session that truly tells their story and yours will last a lifetime.

Boy do these pregnancy hormones make you gushy HUH??
